POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Client Analytics team is responsible for developing, implementing and supporting generic architecture which collects, analyses and graphically represents Trading Data and Performance Valuations. Your clients will include senior representatives from each key Equities businesses, including Program Trading, Algorithmic Trading and Block Trading, both in the United States and Globally. Your clients also include high-profile external clients of the firm, who will receive the benefits of your work, both locally and globally. SUMMARY: A motivated and energetic candidates is required. Platform is predominantly Unix/Linux C++,with some proprietary internal programming language work. Emphasis is on technical prowess, application architecture and code reusability. Candidate should be willing to work in a high-impact, client-facing environment and see his or her work implemented across multiple businesses globally. Willingness to learn and roll up sleeves is key, as a percentage of scripting work is also likely. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyst Developer in a high impact trading technology environment. Programming work is primarily to serve new business needs, in close collaboration with the business and senior management. Work may include tools and utilities to improve systems integrity; enhancements to existing systems to improve performance or functionality; small-scale development activities. Analysis of systems infrastructure to guide potential improvements is likely. EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: -Three to seven years C++ experience within the Unix/Linux environment is required. -Experience with multithreaded applications a plus. -Scripting (Perl, ksh, csh, tcsh) a plus. -Financial industry experience a plus.
