Natural Selection Ezine: A free staffing ezine for hr professionals, managers and business owners

Hiring Doesn’t Have to be Hard?

Hiring staff doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming.

Yes, you read that right.

Hiring staff doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming.

As a matter of fact, it can be pretty easy.

I'm Jeff Altman, The Big Game Hunter and if you're like most employers, hiring is one of the least enjoyable things you have to do.

Leaders and their staff shape the success of an organization and I hunt them down so that an organization can achieve its objectives.

I have helped many companies, large and small, staff US-based positions by, conservatively, speaking with several hundred thousand people, in good times and bad, helping them achieve their objectives, too.

If you are in human resources, you are probably skimming way too many "frog resumes", before you invite a "prince or princess" in for an interview. If you are a hiring manager, often you are faced with a task that you are not well-enough trained for and seems haphazard to you. If you are a business owner, it may seem like an expensive time consuming waste of time that could be better spent in generating business.

AND

I hate to say it but most of the people who say they are recruiters or "headhunters" are ridiculous and incompetent.

To help you, I've launched, Natural Selection Ezine--to help you become stronger and more successful at this.

Free to you . . . and always will be.

How did I learn to do this?

Well, back in the stone ages (well at least in 1972 when Richard Nixon was President and we hadn't even heard of a place called Watergate), I started doing technology recruiting at a time where that only meant IBM mainframe computers (there were other brands but, heck, you couldn't make a good living finding jobs for people who used those). I have survived a bunch of recessions by adapting and learning. As a result, I have helped people grow from relatively junior roles to top positions and helped them staff positions beneath them.

In recent years, I have broadened my work to more than just technology I work in a host of industries and have found work for people with many different backgrounds and titles in 49 out of 50 states plus parts of Eastern Canada (My personal favorite was filling a position with a liquor company for someone to buy hardwoods for the casks that would be used to age their liquor). So far, I haven't done work for any companies in Hawaii but I haven't given up hope!
