Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; leading a multi-site team in the development, integration, and test of visual and sub-system database products, submitting cost estimates for proposals, negotiating proposal and program changes to requirements, and managing the execution of negotiated changes according to the program plan. Additional responsibilities include generating efficiencies through process improvements and leading the creation of a true virtual team environment. Candidate will serve as the primary technical interface when collaborating with other sites for database related topics.
The candidate should be able to work independently, as well as in a cross-functional team environment. Leading meetings and coordinating inputs from multiple departments is an integral part of this position. Group organizational structure as it relates to the development and integration of technical, schedule, cost and contractual elements of proposals is required.
Occasional travel is required.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Candidate Must Have :
* Team Lead
* Systems/software engineering process knowledge
* Experience with commercial simulation support tool infrastructure (one or more of the following):
* Terrex TerraVista, Multigen CTS, Multigen Creator, ESRI ArcGIS, Erdas Imagine
* Terrain/sub-system database outputs: OPENFLIGHT, CTDB, OTF, and SEDRIS.
