Senior New Store Project Manager

Location: North New Jersey this is not a field based Construction Position, but a corporate based Retail Operation position w/ local travel

Salary $105k and above Company is seeking an experienced professional to join our management team as a Senior Project Manager of New Store Openings.

The key responsibility of this position will be to provide the Corporate support for the new store opening process. The Senior New Store Project Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a dynamic opening program through leadership and an expertise in all functions of store operations, merchandising, and customer service as they relate to the opening process. The Senior New Store Project manager will be responsible for developing budgets, implementing process improvements, and training/developing new project managers. The position requires partnership with the Field management and support positions to develop and implement new policies and procedures.

Reporting directly to the Director of Store Operations the successful candidate will:

Provide support to all new store openings through partnership with Corporate counterparts.

Recognize unique opportunities to improve the opening process and create programs to address the opportunities.

Monitor implementation and effectiveness of these initiatives.

Collaborate with other groups to identify areas of opportunity throughout the opening process.

Strive to ensure consistent standards for all Corporate and field based initiatives.

Lead the development of Corporate Project Managers.

Partner with district and regional support and supervisory personnel on new initiatives.

Management and oversight of all capital improvement projects

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated front-line leadership in retail store operations, based on knowledge of company processes, business systems, procedure changes, and technology systems;

Demonstrated success as a leader with 5+ years retail store experience, or its equivalent in a related retail support function, preferred;

Established process improvement successes;

Solid writing and editing ability;

High level of personal accountability with a strong customer focus;

Independent self-starter with strong teambuilding, critical thinking, public speaking and relationship skills;

The ability to drive activity to achieve measurable results by exhibiting excellent follow up and follow through management skills;

Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and a flair for creativity;

Ability to communicate and interact with other divisions and field personnel;

Attention to detail;

Proficiency in word and excel, PowerPoint and lotus notes a plus.

College Degree

Travel Required

No Candidates from Housing, Residential, or Industrial ONLY FROM Retail or with  commercial experience.
