Java Developer- Doesn’t have to have Swift experience; can present candidates with any financial transactional system experience. $90K-$110K

  

 H1-B’s  candidates can be presented.

Programmer with minimum of 5 years of experience in Java/J2EE and 1-2 years in system architecture and design with strong technology, excellent analytical and communication skills.

 

 A working knowledge of SWIFT ISO15022 & ISO20022 is required. Experience from a technical development perspective with one of the following products:

• Biztalk Accelerator for SWIFT
• TIBCO Solutions for SWIFT Net
• SunGard Business Integration's Mint
• Volante Composer for SWIFT
• IBM's Merva or IBM Websphere Message Broker
• Singularity FS Manager

Responsibilities:

• Participate in problem determination, reproduction and remedy.
• Develop general system design including future system requirements, interfaces and integration points.
• Document architectural issues, including functional and integration problem components
• Create new programs and customize existing programs utilizing the following programming languages, frameworks and development environments: Java/J2EE, Script(any), XML/XSLT, SQL.
• Utilize standard software development methodologies, processes, techniques and quality planning methods in all phases of work.
• Facilitate effective communication between customers support and the product division.

Experience/Skill:

Must have
5+ years of experience in software development
1-2 years in system Architecture and Design
Proficiency in Java, XML/XSLT, Web Services and Messaging systems.
Good knowledge of Patterns & Practices, ANT, JUNIT
Strong analytical skills, including gathering, compiling, and documenting system and technical requirements and writing specifications
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communications skills
Experience interfacing with the customer

Plus:
In-depth knowledge of SOA and specifically Integration.
Knowledge of standard reporting systems

Qualification:
MS/MBA/BS CS or equivalent ß There are a number of people in technical financial services positions that have a BS in Computer Science and an MBA.

Certifications is a plus

Experience in the following areas would be preferred:
*MERVA, Unix, Websphere Studio Advanced Development (WSAD), XML, FpML, Swiftnet
*Technical experience working with ANSI X12 AND EDIFACT is an added plus.
*Java J2EE Certification Sun Certified Web Component Developer
*Experience involving SWIFT EAI Gold Certification
*Cobol Copybook experience
