Position assists end users in maintaining and supporting desktops. This includes assisting users with applications and desktop related platforms, assisting Technology Services in keeping desktops in compliance with Standards and working with lines of business to identify and proactively manage vendor applications to ensure a well maintained and managed end user environment. This role includes leading tasks within projects such as gathering desktop inventory for a business unit, accepting escalated issues, and coaching Associate and Support Analysts. It may require leading a team through multiple subtasks requiring coordination between groups of multiple subtasks.

1. Handles user questions, complaints and problems, tracking, measuring, and escalating as appropriate.
2. Assisting in the development and communication of corporate, and LOB standards. Assisting in the development and communication of best practices and advocating best practices while maintaining a high level of efficiency
3. Assist Desktop Engineering teams as appropriate.
4. Assist with patching, upgrading and Handles user questions, complaints and problems, tracking, measuring, and escalating as appropriate.
5. Consults with mid level to senior business units and CIO partners regarding desktop images, migration support/consulting, and/or hardware solutions that support Common Operating Environment and Application Overlays as they relate to specific business unit. Communicates End User Support model to business units.
6. Provides support for applications, tools and hardware managed by Desktop Services. This includes the development of processes and communications related to the support of these items.
7. Actively participates in committees, projects, and forums which may have impact to the enterprise desktop environment.
8. Provides research and white papers on industry trends and directions.
9. Provides guidance and training to less experienced teammates as required.10. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Candidate Must Have :
* The applicant should have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. Applicant would be responsible for supporting the Equity and Fixed Income Trading Floors in New York and Boston. Previous experience in a Trading Floor environment is a must. Applicant should have experience supporting the following applications: Bloomberg, Reuters Trader, Reuters 3000Xtra, Thomson One, Market Axess, Thomson Baseline, Instant Messaging Clients, Microsoft Office, Windows OS, Excel Addins, JTrader, Microhedge, Intex, and Blackberries. Applicant should have a general understanding of Active Directory and how to modify accounts. Preferred:Seeking a desktop support anaylst with Windows Scripting skills such as developing Batch and/or VB Scripts to simplify common tasks. Monday - Friday 6:30am til 3:30pm. Weekend and Late Night support as is determined by projects and current issues.
