The candidate will evaluate risks and controls associated with various business line processes, primarily credit underwriting and other credit-related processes. S/he will perform testing to ensure accurate risk ratings of the corporation’s loan portfolio, adherence to credit and corporate policies and procedures, GAAP, regulatory requirements, and the overall effectiveness of the risk management and control systems for credit-intensive and other lines of business.

The candidate will typically possess a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business-related field of study, and experience in credit analysis, loan structuring and/or risk management, including completion of a credit training program at Mellon or other lending institution. Prior credit review or audit experience would be a strong plus. S/he will have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant auditing/controls experience. Real estate finance and/or prior credit review or audit experience would be a strong plus. S/He should have superior oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical and research skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Flexibility, enthusiasm, professional skepticism, time management and organization skills are required for success. A CPA or other professional audit, credit, or controls-oriented certification is preferred. Travel is approximately 15%.
