This role will be responsible for design, development and support of OLAP databases and ETL processing behind a suite of data warehousing products. This includes design and development of processes which take in and push out large amounts of data, as well as the storage and analysis of the data we retain. The position includes the maintenance of existing, largely Oracle based, systems as well as the design and creation of our next generation OLAP product. Technology selection for the new processes will be part of the role. In addition the candidate will be expected to provide mentoring and guidance of other team members on DB related best practices.

This role is intended to assist in the development and support of a client facing suite of applications that are provided to customers on a Software As A Service (SAAS) basis. Unlike traditional OLAP/BI roles, this position does not involve the creation of reporting for internal consumption and it makes no use of third party tools such as Business Objects or vertically integrated proprietary products frequently associated with OLAP toolsets. The successful candidate will be oriented towards assisting developers in the creation of our products which are used by our clients to access their data through the use of technologies such as MDX and SQL.

Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical to success in this role.

Required skills and background:
· 7+ years experience with design and development of OLAP
· 3+ years experience with ROLAP schema design and coding
· 3+ years experience with MOLAP schema design and coding
· 3+ years experience with ETL systems feeding both ROLAP and MOLAP systems
· Expert level skills in SQL
· Expert level skills in MDX (or comparable standard)

· Experience working for a hosted application software provider in B2B environment
· Ability to code and debug Oracle PL/SQL
· Experience in the online advertising industry
· Hands on experience with Agile development practices
· Statistics/Data Analytics/Forecasting background
