Primary Responsibilities:

The Tax Accounting role will focus on all aspects of accounting for income taxes for a multinational organization in accordance with US GAAP.

Job Description:

• Oversee / prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations for a multinational consolidated group of approximately 25 companies in accordance with US GAAP, utilizing Tax Stream tax provision software.
• Application of technical accounting standards in the GL recording of current and deferred taxes, inter-period tax allocation, intra-period tax allocation, valuation allowance and uncertain tax positions.
• Maintenance of global FIN 48 reserves, including establishment of new reserves, reversals based on the expiration of a statute of limitations and updates to interest and penalty calculations.
• Monitor valuation allowance globally, working closely with local Controllers. Prepare / review workpapers to support conclusions.
• Prepare / review the tax implications of FAS 123R, including APIC pool, deferred taxes and permanent differences.
• Prepare / review the quarterly and annual external reporting of income taxes in SEC filings and other disclosures.
• Review / update U.S. and Consolidated Tax SOX narratives for tax accounting controls.
• Work effectively with other departments, foreign Controllers, external tax advisors and external auditors as necessary.

Requirements:
Accounting degree plus CPA and / or MBA-Tax with 4+ years of tax accounting and 7+ years of overall tax experience, strong organizational skills, detail oriented, excellent communication skills, Microsoft applications and Tax Stream experience preferred. High degree of knowledge of FAS 109, APB 28, FIN 48 and tax implications of FAS 123R.
