Cisco Networking Configuration and Troubleshooting CCNA Cisco 12000 Series, 6500 Series and Modules CCNP Cisco PIX FWSM and VPN Concentrators VM Ware Unix/Linux Privately-held IT consultancy and Managed Services Provider focusing on delivering honest un-biased and objective advice, high performance network, data protection, and application infrastructure services. Job Description: This role is responsible for the day to day management, troubleshooting, and implementation of the company’s Managed Services Network. Responsibilities include, team engineering, proof of concept engineering, planning, and delivery of all internal and external Managed Services network projects. This role should be comfortable as a technical leader, independent projects, or team player - depending on what is needed for the project. Desired Requirements: - BA/BS in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is preferred; however stellar work experience and Industry Certifications in place of degree is acceptable - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on system engineering experience is required. - Experience with Managed Services or ISP environment (a plus) - Highly Fluent in Cisco Networking Configuration, Troubleshooting is required. - Experience with Cisco 12000 Series, 6500 Series and 6500 Series Service Modules (a Plus) - Experience with Cisco PIX, FWSM, and VPN Concentrators (a Plus) - Fluent in UNIX/Linux computing platforms - relevant to Internet and Network Services - Fluent in Windows computing platforms - relevant to Internet and Network Services (a Plus) - A solid conceptual understanding of IP networking, network devices, and common topologies - Possesses one or more of the following certifications: CCNA, CCNP, VM Ware, MCSE, Citrix, etc. - Desire to evolve into leadership career which offers the opportunity to remain technically hands-on - Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement system management and monitoring solutions - Understanding of authentication and access management technologies - Experience in enterprise security engineering and secure system management <> Skills and Certifications (bold if required) Cisco Networking Configuration and Troubleshooting CCNA Cisco 12000 Series, 6500 Series and Modules CCNP Cisco PIX FWSM and VPN Concentrators VM Ware Unix/Linux <> Additional Details Description of the Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have previous ISP and consulting experience. He or she will possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn in a fast paced challenging environment. We operate on a 24x7x365 schedule therefore one should be willing to dedicate themselves to the role wholeheartedly. This role should be comfortable as a technical leader, independent projects, or team player - depending on what is needed for the project. This position must be able to comfortably shift priorities due to the ever dynamic and changing workload inside a managed service organization. Additionally one will be responsible for ensuring their time is accounted for, has experience in a small Corporate IT organization or Managed Services or ISP environment.
