Responsible for setting the architectural vision, documenting and communicating standards and assisting in the development and alignment of technology staff with respect to the business viewpoint.

In this role you will act as a visionary by defining the future state solution architecture to support the business vision, a collaborator and consensus-builder to facilitate the selection and prioritization of the prescribed solutions, and a steward for the Enterprise Architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.

Develop business architectures depicting the current environment (as is), the future environment (to be) and the recommended solution roadmap to address gaps. This entails the following: developing a roadmap, which includes solution phases, high level costs, and alternatives; leading or actively participating in Business Architecture analysis; creating solutions to resolve highly complex business issues that are compatible with the overall business vision; and, determining capabilities to address the business vision.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Produce standard business system strategy, functional architecture design documents, and operating models.
Work closely with IT and business unit managers to identify and solve complex business issues and problems through the application of technology based business solutions, processes and capabilities.
Perform assessments of existing Business Processes, Requirements, Applications, Technologies, and Information Systems to create an "as is" baseline.
Recommend future-state Business Processes, Requirements, Applications, Technologies, and Information Systems to create a "to be" target.
Develop roadmaps or plans, based on project interdependencies constraints, business value, etc.​ for sequencing projects and initiatives to achieve the desired strategic business objectives.
Participates in recommending cost effective technology solutions for business challenges
Ensuring Information Technology team follows best practices when architecting, programming or documenting functional or solutions architecture

Experience:
8+ years IT experience
3+ years experience working on an Enterprise Architectural team
3+ years domain modeling, data modeling, and data management best practices
1+ year of SOA analysis and development
1+ year experience with any Java-based enterprise application development platform including WebSphere, WebLogic, Oracle Fusion, etc
Significant experience determining deliverables and approaches for business projects including process changes, technology changes and organizational impact.
Experience developing "as is," "to be" business operating models and functional architectures
Background in Architectural Frameworks such as Zachman, TOGAF, & Federal Enterprise Architecture in addition to software design patterns
Working understanding of Enterprise Service Bus design and implementation and messaging technologies protocols (asynchronous and synchronous, JMS, and commercial products such as IBM MQ Series)
Familiarity with Kimball, Inmon Data Warehouse Design Frameworks
Familiarity with XML schemas, UML, Rational Rose, and Visio to create standard artifacts
Familiarity with open source technologies
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or other related field
