The idea candidate will be a support analyst with approx 3-5 years of Application support experience in Capital Markets area with experience in working with senior peers and partners. Some team lead or functional lead experience is a plus. 

Responsibilities: 
· Provide Level 1 and 2 Support for Rates and Currencies Pricing and Trade Booking applications as part of the Rates and Currencies Desk facing Production support team. 
· Monitoring batches, System logs and Application Software infrastructure and respond to errors generated from them. 
· Escalating relevant issues to the various owners & up/down-stream groups, Lev-3 dev teams and Infrastructure group 
· Tracking and Reporting of all incidents and service requests. 
· Recommending & implementing improvements to systems 
· Develop and Maintain support documentation 

Qualifications & Technical skills: 

Business Knowledge 
· Knowledge of Investment Banking/Capital Markets, Fixed income and currencies asset classes like Bonds, CDS, Options, Swaptions , Fx options 
· Knowledge of more complex assets specifically Interest Rates and FX Derivative products a Plus 
· Financial Markets Risk Management Terms and Process Knowledge is a plus 

Technical 

o Unix (Linux, Solaris) and Windows 

o Shell scripting (ksh, csh), perl, python 
o Relational Database’s, SQL, Stored Procedures 
o Sybase and MS SQL 
o Some knowledge of middleware 
o Some knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting Java, C++ and VBA apps desirable. 
o Knowledge of Monitoring Tools preferably ITRS
