This is a senior developer role in Enterprise Credit and Market Risk for the Deal Approval Engine. The Deal Approval Engine is a high-speed XML-based service that provides high speed STP deal approval for trades. Prior to trade execution, the Deal Approval Engine (DAP) evaluates trade requests and informs traders and sales people when conditions exist that could cause the trade to put the firm at risk. These conditions, such as over-exposure to a counterparty, the lack of a margin agreement, or missing regulatory checks for anti money laundering (AML), are detected by DAP centrally, eliminating the need for every trading system to duplicate these checks, and allowing controls to be changed from a central point as needed. 

Responsibilities: 
· Daily maintenance of credit risk application; bug fixes, user support 
· Liaise with other groups to determine functional requirements 
· Design of software requirements 
· Implementation of software requirements; design, code, test, debug 
· Coordinate resources across various applications, operations or projects 
· Monitor progress and adjust resources and priorities accordingly 

Desired Qualifications: 
· Senior level Java 1.5+ 
· Object Oriented, SOA/Client-Server, multi-threaded programming 
· XML / FpML / Schemas, Web Services 
· Sybase RDBMS 12.5 or higher 
· OTC Derivatives across FX, Credit, Rates, Equities, Commodities 
· Knowledge of Credit Risk Analytics, Monte Carlo Simulations 
· Distributed Caching (Gemfire preferred but Coherence/IBM Extreme Scale/GigSpaces experience would be ok too) 

· Grid(DataSynapse) /Cloud computing 

· Spring Application Framework 

· Tibco EMS 

· RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 or higher 

· Test Driven Development using JUnit / Eclipse / Ant / Maven 
· Subversion or ClearCase Source Control - Branching / Merging / Tagging 
· Experience using profiling tools such as Ecplise TPTP/JProbe for performance tuning 

Beyond the core skills, the following skills are beneficial: 
· Knowledge of OTC Derivatives 
· Experience with Tibco iProcess and Tibco Business Works
