The candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals during a fast paced 3 month (development time) website redesign project. The candidate will work within a co-located balanced matrix reporting the Director of Application Development and working with a team consisting of a System Architect, DBA, 4-5 .Net Developers and a team of three Quality Assurance Specialists while coordinating with a team of off-site designers and stakeholders. The candidate must be an accomplished leader with experience in the following areas: application development, technical support,, quality assurance, release management, staff/resource management, work planning, scheduling, and customer relationship management. The right candidate will be enthusiastic and have proven experience in medium to large projects partnered with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi task. 

Job Responsibilities: 

- Ensuring that all deliverables are met on a fast paced, highly visible project. 

- Expected to study and understand the business requirements and to have the expertise and the ability to provide technical direction to the team. 

- Defining the project scope, developing project plans and directing activities including reviews, risk management, change control processes. 

- Effectively communicate the expectations of the project to the team to ensure deliverables are met on time and on budget. 

- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members, off-site design team and other stakeholders, as well as identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. 

- Track project milestones and deliverable and develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. 

- Develop status reports for the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas. 

- Proactively manage changes in the project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. 

Required skills: 

- 7+ years of extensive hands-on experience with project management. 

- PMP Certification. 

- Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred. 

- Extensive Knowledge of full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration 

- Experience working with and preparing project documentation such as detailed requirements 

- Knowledge of Agile Development, Test Driven Development and Business Intelligence environments. 

- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office Product Suite 

- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, management, end users and project team members 

- Ability to interact effectively with technical personnel and with a wide variety of technical resources 

- Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts, information, plans, and procedures to both technical personnel and non-IT business users 

- Excellent written and oral communications 

- Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills 

- Possess knowledge and demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning, and to perform risk assessments and their associated risk mitigation actions 

- Knowledge of Application Development Methodologies
