· Required: Broad technical understanding in infrastructure disciplines including Servers (Intel/Opteron/SPARC-based), OS (Linux, UNIX, Windows), Networking, Storage. Strong preference for extra expertise in authentication; market data, middleware, databases, messaging, security; Java and /or C development. 
· Required: Five or more years of engineering, integration and operations experience with large-scale (1000+ machines) datacenter implementations of Windows, Solaris, or Linux; 
· Required: Three or more years of supporting large scale enterprise development groups using any one of the following technologies: Objective Oriented Languages, J2EE, .NET, SOAP, LAMP 
· Required: Five or more years of development or maintenance experience with an administrative scripting language (Perl, Bourne or Ksh, Python) 

· Required: Three or more years of engineering, integration, and operations experiences with large-scale datacenter implementations of SAN, NAS, or direct-attached storage systems where experience with EMC, Clariion, Network Appliance storage offerings is a plus 
· Required: Three or more years experience supporting High Availability solutions to include multi-node single-site clusters and disaster recovery environments utilizing underlying replicated storage technology 
· Required: Three or more years handling escalated support issues for mission-critical applications. Candidate must be able to demonstrate techniques used to identify problems in the field created by client-server interactions over a complex network. 
· Desirable: Market Data distribution, large and very large-scale databases, performance analysis, complex networking, and message-oriented middleware 

Responsibilities: 
· Infrastructure solution design - which must be both ‘fit for purpose’ and complete 
· Client request triage. Assess if request requires solution design or simply a transactional request that can be serviced by specific technology available from the product catalog 
· Communication of both Service offerings and technical strategy to client 
· Works directly with development organizations and business sponsors to learn and document the technical aspects of their business challenges and opportunities and to understand client business and technology requirements and communicate back to internal technology aligned groups 
· Provide architectural advice and guidance to clients and SCMs and credibly describes and demonstrates how infrastructure solutions address these business challenges and opportunities 
· Provides technical overview of infrastructure component architecture, functionality, requirements, and integration points with existing and planned applications 
· Creation and management of virtual GTI solution design team. Guides the design and implementation of customer-specific solutions if needed 
· Acts as technical liaison to infrastructure operations services, architecture and product engineering in communicating customer requirements and information
