Senior engineer to drive trade capture initiatives focusing on credit derivatives. The candidate will be working on Java-based applications within a cross-business capital markets platform. These are large, distributed enterprise applications, and experience with comparable systems is a must. 

Responsibilities: 
• Design, develop, test and document scalable, highly reliable, enterprise global systems in a structured, disciplined, and fast-moving environment. 
• Form strong client relationships with traders, business management, COOs, and other technology groups in a front office 
environment. 
• Be comfortable hands-on implementing new systems using Java. 
• Develop within a controlled process including design and code reviews. 
• Support the production environment, assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, and maintain the stability and integrity of systems. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 
• 8-10 years experience developing with core Java or J2EE. 
• Server-side development on Linux, Solaris or other Unix flavor 
• Sybase or other RDBMS experience 
• Messaging with JMS, TIBCO or other framework 
• Experience developing high transaction/volume processing applications 
• Capital markets business knowledge, including derivatives 
Additional Nice to Have Skills and Qualifications: 
• EJB and MDB experience 
• Weblogic, JBOSS or other application server experience 
• Test Driven Development using JUnit / Eclipse / Ant / Maven 
• Python
