Work with IT and functional team members to understand project concept, objectives and approach 
Take assigned project from original concept through final implementation 
Create and support development and maintenance of project plans, functional specifications. 
Track all phases of the project, providing timely reporting of issues, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking change requests / issues 
Lead the assessment and resolution of any issues which occur, impacting the project deliverables. Ensures leadership team is aware of all active issues and their resolution plans. 
BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND REPORTING: 

Work closely with HRIS leadership to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve HR services and/or business processes 
Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business processes and systems functionality, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to execute systems transactions / processes. This also includes security access requirements. 
Consult with HRIT team to determine business, functional and technical requirements for specified technology 
Coordinate the development of all approved versions of Functional requirements and specifications 
Develop / maintain reporting and communication tools for all assigned projects 
Analyze the HR functions’ activities and trends, comparing against industry standards and best practices. Present findings and work with the Business unit leadership to identify and implement strategies that will address improvement opportunities. 
Evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. 
QA AND TESTING: 

Define, develop and execute test plans, in partnership with functional and technical project team members 
Ensure that all tests are conducted and documented according to required standards 
Responsible for overall success of testing, including results verification and release sign-off 
Coordinate final sign-off, authorizing IT to release changed code to Production 
Ensure that all items follow the change management process 
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience as a PeopleSoft HR Business Analyst 
Bachelor’s degree in general business, computer information systems, or a related discipline is required 
Experience working with integrated ERP software such as PeopleSoft HCM 8.3 or higher 
Experience with HCM implementation projects, as well as on-going maintenance of HCM business processes/technology 
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, use case development, and test plan development and execution 
Demonstrated knowledge of HR business practices 
Proficiency in Microsoft applications with advance Excel skills 
Must be willing to travel to funeral home/cemetery locations to conduct analysis as needed 
Ability to multi-task and change priorities as needed 
Must have strong communication and presentation skills as well as demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills 
Ability to handle stressful situation in a fast pace environment with professionalism and accuracy 
Experience working with a global implementation team is plus
