Taxable Fixed Income Portfolio Manager - (Charlotte, NC)

Minimum Education: BA

Job Type: Full Time

Minimum 5-10 years total return, performance oriented portfolio management experience 
Strong knowledge of taxable investment grade markets with an emphasis on credit 
Strong written, verbal and oral skills, along with the ability to articulate complex concepts with proven maturity and credibility to present effectively to external clients and internal business partners 
Ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy and demonstrate initiative and personal accountability but remain a team player and enjoy contributing in a cooperative atmosphere 
Conceptual and working knowledge of municipal and MBS markets are favorably considered 
Knowledge of Advent, Perform, Barclays Capital Point a plus 

Manage a total return taxable portfolio in a team oriented environment utilizing a macro-economic relative value process 
Analyze investment grade credits and sectors to derive relative value investment strategies while also conducting individual security and portfolio performance contribution/attribution analysis to determine alpha generation of investment decisions 
Confidently articulate and communicate investment ideas and strategy, and other relevant information to institutional, high net worth clients and internal colleagues through both formal and informal written and oral presentations 
Evaluate prospective clients’ holdings and provide actionable feedback that demonstrates the value-add of the firm’s fixed income capabilities 
Collaborate with the Managing Director, Fixed Income to manage customized and/or complex client portfolios
