Network Architect - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $110K - $125K / Year

College degree with a minimum of eight years prior networking experience in a heterongenous protocol/vendor environment; must have strong background in campus (local and metropolitan) and wide-area fault-tolerant switching and routing network design;



* CISCO IOS configuration experience a plus; ; knowledge of firewall policy implementations and VPN tunnel configurations preferred;



*strong BGP design and implementation experience, both interior and exterior for highly redundant peering arrangements required;



* knowledge of network load balancing technologies a plus; knowledge of STP/PVST+ L2/L3 edge networking required; knowledge of remote access technologies and solutions preferred;



*in depth knowledge of the internet protocol and all common transport protocols required;



* proven ability to design and implement networking infrastructure on a large scale as well as documenting policies and procedures highly desired;



*previous experience in maintaining TCP/IP in an Internet-connected environment; must have experience with configuration of routers and L2/3 switching equipment; must be familiar with shell scripts and the PERL programming language; previous experience with security products such as firewall, VPN, encryption required;



*must be able to work off-hours and weekends as needed; excellent organization and communication skills.
