As the Risk Analyst, you will work with and provide ongoing support to the Risk department. It is anticipated that the employee be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management, staff, clients, external partners and regulatory agencies.



Responsible for the following:

§ Help monitor and report risk across multiple portfolios

§ Perform in-depth analysis of portfolio characteristics

§ Handle specific projects and assignments at the direction of the Risk Officer

§ Complete all other risk-related tasks and special projects, as assigned by Executive Committee & business units



Must be someone who has:

- Practical experience with risk matters in the financial services industry

- Strong understanding of risk management techniques and portfolio level quantitative analytics

- Knowledge of equities, options, futures, fixed income, derivatives and other asset classes

- Knowledge of hedge funds, portfolio management and investment vehicles

- High standard of professionalism and strong desire to work collaboratively with the team

- Problem solving skills and ability to identify and implement appropriate solutions

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet/exceed deadline

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Consistent work ethic through hard work, confidence and effort

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Outstanding attention to detail and strong organization skills



EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

- Advanced degree in Math, Computer Science, Business or related field required

- Prior experience in financial services industry required

- Hedge fund and registered investment advisor experience strongly preferred

- Expert experience in Excel & Bloomberg

- Programming experience in VBA, SQL server, Matlab or other quantitative analytics platform preferred
