The UX Designer/Information Architect will lead new user interface design initiatives and champion customer experience improvements within our existing products. This role will significantly impact the experience of millions of users by optimizing their ability to use our products and services. This is an opportunity to utilize your experience with web, mobile web and mobile app platforms to revolutionize how patients search, choose, rate, review and book an appointment with physicians and other care providers.

Job Responsibilities
Develop products to facilitate user engagement resulting in increased traffic, repeat users, reviews and other important metrics.
Directly influence audience growth for web and mobile products.
Monitor and report on competitors user experience initiatives and introduce updated and emerging interface approaches.
Build wire frames, business rules and functional requirements for development initiatives; and interact with creative services and development engineers to ensure completeness and quality of user experience.
Direct user experience validation and testing of design concepts.
Provide leadership on user experience best practices and guide the organization in adopting user centric design principals and techniques.
Evaluate specific site metrics and optimize creative and element placement in order to maximize desired results (traffic, actions, $)
Other duties as assigned by members of management.


Competencies:

Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to work with templates and content management systems, workflows, site architectures, and page template/wireframe formats.
Use case and functional requirements development experience preferred.
Experience leading and/or observing user research and usability testing and translating results into design decisions.
Understanding of how Design impacts Development (and vice versa), along with a knack for constructing dynamic, interactive designs that are technically feasible/prudent
Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of experience developing online interactive products.

· 2-3 years of experience managing information architecture and user experience at a content portal or rich internet application web site.

· Skilled use of one or more of the various UX tools: Visio, Protoshare, Axure, Onimgraffle, etc

· The ability to prototype in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and/or use prototype tools.

· Must have a strong passion for information architecture & user experience and have a reputation for solving the nine dots problem.

· Excellent blend of technical, analytical, documentation and communication skills.

· Ability to work in an extremely fast paced and high-energy work environment

· Ability to take initiative, juggle multiple priorities, troubleshoot and work well with other departments to meet deadlines.

· An outstanding portfolio of past work experience of user-centered design solutions. Portfolio could contain: detailed page schematics, functional specifications, interaction flows, site maps, navigation systems, and wireframes.

· HCI Degree and or past interactive design experience in a studio or agency a plus.

· Experience defining a rich internet application, personalization content portal or health care website a plus.
