SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first level phone and email support to external (brokers, institutional buy side and hedge fund clients) and internal (accounts executives, implementation consultants) customers by answering complex questions on function and usage of electronic trading
Resolve technical support issues and problems in the areas of system configurations, functionally and enhancements surrounding trading applications.
Serve as primary liaison between customer and the firm.
Provide dedicated hotline and face to face support to internal and external clients.
Provide real-time monitoring of electronic trading, network and systems.
Implement software and network installations at institutional client sites.
Coordinate new connections and test new production LVCs prior to client usage.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Understanding of financial markets, trading or asset management industry (desired)
Understanding of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) Protocol (desired)
Strong technical aptitude.
Understanding of relational database servers and software (desired)
Proven technical skills in a mix of Microsoft Windows and UNIX environments.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly
Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Previous experience in client support for external trading/financial products and network troubleshooting

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Up to 2 years experience in support role
