Description: Follow standard Desktop Support operating procedures
•?Respond to all customer problems and inquiries
•?Accountable for call details and complete ticket (incident) creation into the tracking system.
•?Accountable for proper call categorization and routing (escalation routing as required)
•?Accountable for resolution of known, documented and single step requests
•?Accountable for incident closure and any follow-up contact between the IT team and the end user
•?Ability to learn fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment
•?Enforce all Desktop Support Services and corporate IT policies
•?Troubleshoot all it equipment related issues
•?Support computers include servers, workstations and laptops
•?Manage users, security groups, and computers through Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, PGP
interfaces
•?Assemble and disassemble PC hardware as necessary
•?Fix, update and maintain all desktops, laptops, printers, Blackberry devices and technology
peripherals
•?Set up audio/video/teleconferencing equipment for meetings if required
•?Ensure network connectivity to the desktop, printers, copiers and scanners
•?Assist in preparing, maintaining, and updating procedures for logging, reporting, and statistically monitoring desktop operations
•?Maintain inventory of computer, networking and all other IT related equipment

Requirements
•?Knowledge in DHCP, SMTP, POP3, TCP/IP, RAID, DNS
•?Basic Active Directory/Exchange management of users, computers, groups
•?Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003, Office 2003/07
•?Experience dealing with vendors for replacement of defective components
•?Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and remedy problems with a minimum of downtime
•?Knowledge of applications such as VPN clients, anti-virus, and diagnostic tools
•?Familiar with remote control clients such as Remote Desktop and/or VNC
•?Understanding of networking infrastructure such as routers, firewalls, switches and network
administration
•?Installation and troubleshooting of Windows XP and Vista platforms
•?Thorough troubleshooting knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals
•?Good interpersonal and communication skills
•?Good verbal and written skills outgoing and articulate
•?Ability to provide technical support over the phone, professional demeanor, previous customer
service experience strongly desired
•?Self starter, highly organized and detail oriented
•?Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision and meet deadlines

Education Required
B.S., Computer Science or Information Systems
Work Experience Required
1-2 years of help desk/desktop support experience

Certifications/Knowledge Preferred
•?Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCP, MCSA, CCNA
•?Working knowledge of Linux, Mac OSX , MS SharePoint
