Description:	Across these roles, the following experience / skill level is expected (1 = some exposure required, 5 = requires demonstrable expert-level skills ): Essential: (each of these will be tested at interview, so please don’t apply without them) • SQL Server 2005 & 2008 / R2 core administration skills (5) o Backups incl. Log Shipping, Agents o HA strategies incl. clustering, replication, mirroring o Physical design, provisioning and monitoring, including iSCSI SANs o Security management • T-SQL optimization and development o Use of entire MS toolset to monitor, track and optimize production SQL databases (5) o Index tuning, maintenance (5) o Scripting & T-SQL tuning recommendations (4) • Integration o SSIS (5) o SSRS - Server administration (4) o SSRS - Report writing (3) o SSAS - Administration and tuning (4) o SSAS - Cube design and provisioning (4) • Remote data center administration and global team-working (4) Preferred: • Administration of Windows 2003 & 2008 Server environments (4) • Active Directory management (3) • Network administration (DNS, DHCP, SFTP) (3) • Security technologies including Firewalls, DMZs, VPNs (3) • Virtualization technologies (3) • IT & process management (ISO27001, ITIL etc) (2) • Sharepoint administration (1) Other Qualifications • Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, or related discipline • Attention to detail and very strong technical troubleshooting skills • Willingness to travel occasionally, and be on-call • A self-starter, someone who always will take the initiative and remain professional As part of the recruiting process you will take tests that will allow us to see your technical, troubleshooting business skills in action.
