Rate: $130K - $150K +bonus
Description: Manage all aspects of underwriting, human resources management including: staffing; training; development; and performance management.
Manage the underwriting and pricing of large risks, consolidated programs, mergers and acquisitions, large deductible, self- insured retention plans and other alternative risk mechanisms.
Provide technical input and guidance to the staff as needed. Review and approve underwriting decisions within assigned authority levels and manages the escalation of referrals exceeding authority.
Establish authorities for each underwriter and monitors the use of established authority levels.
Oversee operational processes to ensure timely handling of business and directs efforts to increase timeliness and efficiency.
Maintain relationships with our key brokers. Participates and ensures underwriting participation in and timely execution of account service plans.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and company policies.
Recommend and participate in the development of new coverages and products.

Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.

Qualifications:
College degree required.
CPCU or equivalent Professional designation preferred
Minimum of 10 Years in the P&C business with risk management underwriting experience.
5+ years management experience required.
Good Personal Computer skills
Ability to work in a matrix organization.
Excellent verbal and written Communication skills
Working knowledge of Underwriting Systems
Strength within a Casualty line
