SQL Server 2005 / 2008 Database Developer with 5+ years experience in maintaining large databases and supporting existing custom database applications. Develop new database applications through the complete system development cycle from conception to delivery. Perform SQL code review and perform in code SQL to Stored Procedure conversion and optimization. Perform Database and table modeling and optimization. Complete system development life cycle process using agile development framework from conception to delivery. Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL in developing projects using Microsoft SQL server 2005/2008. The experience in pulling multiple data sources in SQL Server 2005/2008. The experience building information models, entity relationship models, data flow diagrams, traceability matrixes, and logical and physical data models. Proven ability in performance tuning especially tuning complex queries, procedure and indexing strategies
The ideal candidate must have excellent analytical and organizational skills and be a self starter and able to work on projects as part of a team or independently.
Technical / Organization Skills:
- Strong SQL Development
- Data Replication tools and concepts
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- MySQL a plus
- Data Conversion from different data and files systems into SQL Database
- ERWIN Modeling Tool preferred
- SQL Server 2005,
- SQL 2008 is a plus
- DTS Packages
- Stored Procedures
- Database Modeling and tools such as Erwin
- SQL Code optimization techniques
- Report Generation (Crystal, Excel)
- Data Replication Very important
- Visual SourceSafe
- Optional Visual Basic 6.0 / .NET
Automotive Applications experience is a BIG plus
Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team preferred
