Description:    solid automation scripting experience. I’m not stressed about which scripting language they’re stronger with, but they need to have some solid experience there. 

Two big plusses to keep an eye out for: 

1. It would be helpful to have exposure to some of the following QA tools: Cucumber, Selenium RC, Webdriver, Watir, Robotium, Native Driver 
2. I’m not expecting a QA Engineer to be a programming expert, but it would be great if they had some experience working with Java, C#, Ruby, Android 

Not looking for a manager. They may be senior or mid-level, but they’re going to be Engineers.
