Description:    Approximately 30% Regional Travel Required 

Subject Matter Expert for designing and architecting large, complex .NET based business solutions. You will be responsible for driving and/or coding the most complex pieces of a technical solution in your area of expertise. You will call upon your vast experience and knowledge to support, educate and collaboratively work with the solution delivery teams. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Accountable for the development process of the project. 
• Review designs or codes (for quality, reuse and efficiency) for the team. 
• Educate others on the development process. 
• Define, negotiate and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for applications. 
• Assign roles and responsibilities and secure buy-in of all relevant stakeholders. 
• Act as reference for deploying architectures on the platform. 
• Advise internal and external clients on application design and development on the platform. 
• Lead ongoing enhancements of the in-house capabilities of the platform. 
• Technical review of architectures to meet maintainability, scalability and performance requirements of solutions. 
• Build relationships with leading vendors in the marketplace. 
• Monitor trends in the respective technology space and identify business opportunities. 
• Participate in and/or monitor the development of new standards (eg. Using PRISM, MEF, RIA, etc). 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Degree in Computer Science preferred. 
• Microsoft certification. 
• Broad hands-on work experience with technology solution design or implementation projects on .NET framework 2.0 / 3.5/ 4.0. 
• Understanding and working knowledge of applicable .NET standards and specifications (eg. C#, ASP.NET/WPF, WCF, Biztalk, SQL Server) 
• Hands-on experience using design patterns to implement projects/solutions. 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. 
• Self-directed and prior experience initiating and maintaining credible business relationships internally and externally. 
• Leadership and project management ability to mentor, educate, delegate, and manage others. 
• Business acumen and extensive knowledge of marketplace, industry and area of expertise. 
• Openness to travel and work at client offices.
