Description:   
Specific qualifications: 

Professional experience in C++ or Java. Proficient in Object-Oriented design and design patterns. 
Solid skills in some or all of the following: Python, socket programming, multi-thread programming, OLAP, MySQL, embedded database (Berkeley DB, SQLite, HSQLDB), Linux. 
Professional experience in designing industrial applications on distributed computing platforms. Experience in building fault-tolerant application protocols on top of TCP or HTTP is preferred. 
Demonstrated records in handling complexity in design and implementation of real-world applications. 
Strong logical thinking and problem solving ability. 
Knowledge of financial instruments is preferred but not required. 
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, willing to learn and team player. 
Master or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline. 

Responsibilities: 
Develop and maintain robust and efficient distributed computing components (in C++ and Python) to deliver pricing and risk modeling services in both soft real-time and overnight batch processing environments. 
Develop and maintain pricing and risk analytics module inside the brokerage firm's main client trading application (in Java).
