Primary Skills: SQL, banking, Java, J2EE, Spring       
Description:    Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Java development team. The candidate will play a key role in the technical design and development of product features, customizations and support for specific clients and modules in our growing suite of Java-based banking products. 

Responsibilities: 
 Supervisory and staff management 
 Development of project plans and estimates 
 Project management and reporting as required 
 Hands-on ability to develop, analyze and create functional specifications 

Technical Experience: 
 Minimum of 3 years professional experience working in a technical support managerial role within a customer support organization, preferably with a software company 
 Experience with SQL – mandatory 
 Experience with banking applications - mandatory 
 Platforms: UNIX / PC 
 Operating systems: Windows / AIX / SUN Solaris / Linux 
 Application servers: WebLogic 
 Databases: Oracle / MSSQL 
 Experienced in Java / J2EE programming. Strong hands-on experience with STRUTS framework - an advantage. 
 Knowledge of "Spring" framework 
 Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies such as Spring Webflow, Spring MVC and other Spring technologies 
 Web Service experience 
 Independent code writing skills, excellent English, high service orientation 

Qualifications and Experience: 
 Minimum 5 years experience in management of programmers (3-5 team members or more) 
 Experience in customizing software products to customer specific requirements 
 Broad knowledge of the financial services sector with exposure to banking and business critical financial applications 
 Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a matrix managed environment 
 Strong written/verbal communication skills 
 Strong organizational skills
