Description:    MUST MEET THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED 

This position is responsible for preparation of the Company's financial regulatory reports including Call Reports, FRY-9C reports, daily/weekly Federal Reserve reports and Basel I regulatory capital computations. This provides support for other regulatory reports and also participates in department, Controller s Division, Corporate Finance and Company-wide initiatives. 

This position requires a strong understanding of financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, and will ensure that all regulatory reports prepared by the department are timely filed in accordance with the applicable instructions, are properly documented and reconciled to SEC Form 10Q, Form 10K or other regulatory reports as applicable. Responsibilities include coordination, gathering, compilation, and review of data from the general ledger, system reports and business line information requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness identification of issues and coordination with appropriate business line personnel to resolve and completion of prior period variance analysis including investigation and documented explanation of variances. 

This position participates in higher level projects including preparation of regulatory capital calculations and estimates review and approval of Chart of Accounts change requests updating and maintenance of report and analysis templates and tools and providing data in support of Corporate Finance and Company initiatives. 

Will directly communicate with management, business line controllers, and banking regulators, providing prompt, thorough and appropriate responses to questions and report edits. This position may perform reviews of reports prepared by others in the department and provide technical assistance as a regulatory reporting subject matter expert for less experienced staff, business lines, and others outside the department. 

Basic Qualifications 
4+ years accounting experience. 

Minimum Qualifications 
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience that includes 2 years of preparation of financial statements or components thereof under U.S. GAAP 
- 2 years public accounting or financial services industry experience 
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. 
- Demonstrated ability to research technical accounting or regulatory reporting issues, understand accounting and regulatory concepts and draw conclusions to make recommendations 
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel 

Preferred Skills 
- BA/BS in Accounting 
- Prior regulatory or SEC reporting experience in the financial services industry 
- Experience with Essbase 
- Demonstrated understanding of legal entity structure and consolidation accounting
