Requirements

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Engineering, MBA preferred.

6+ years of new business development experience in a media or technology oriented company

10+ years of business / market development, product marketing and/or product development experience

Direct experience in two-way radio and cellular business solutions

Industry experience working in or delivering solutions to target vertical markets – utilities, transportation, manufacturing, construction, hospitality, field services

Strong organizational and cross-functional coordination skills required

Experience managing individuals, project teams and external vendors/partners

Strong written, verbal and oral presentation skills

Strong customer focused orientation and a keen understanding of consumers through the use of research and other fact-based data

Knowledge of the IPTV, cable television and/or satellite marketplace and the impact of new technologies

Exposure to media, communications, or media related sectors

Technical understanding in and around video and content delivery networks and application vendors

 

Responsibilities

Cultivation of new two-way radio sales channels and dealer networks

Development of business relationships with cellular Push-to-talk/two-way radio interoperability solutions, dispatch application vendors and providers of innovative devices and accessories.

Lead a small Market Development team

Collaborate closely with Product Management, Sales, and Technology organizations.

Effectively use research, key operating metrics, ROI analysis and database management to ensure fact-based decisions are made and performance is monitored

Combine empirical and critical skills with good judgment and a strong intuitive sense of what will work in the marketplace
