REQUIREMENTS
•       2+ years of experience working with an enterprise-level reporting tool such as Cognos, Crystal Reports or Jaspersoft.
 
Education Required:
•         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred. 
 
Design, develop, and maintain reporting systems to support Cognos business intelligence reporting. This position will support Clients, Partners and the Executive Team in gathering requirements, documenting and creating reports, and organizing data to be used for making business decisions.
 
Essential Job Function:
•         Develops and supports complex reports.
•         Interviews business requestors, analyzes information requirements to determine business need and makes recommendations to reporting format or process solutions, content and structure.
•         Develops and provides on-going support for scheduled and ad-hoc reports internally and for clients.
•         Utilizes appropriate reporting tools based on business requirements.
•         Audits and conducts testing to ensure reporting meet requirements.
•         Writes advanced queries to extract data and incorporates them into the report development process utilizing the appropriate reporting tools.
•         Extracts appropriate information by designing, programming, testing, and implementing changes to reporting queries, as needed, administers report governance.
•         Manages queue of pending report requests from internal and external parties. Works with business to determine priority of requests and allocates development resources to requests based on priority.
•         Oversees and administers the report change management process before moving reports from development to production.
•         Maintains documentation related to reports changes or enhancements.
•         Assists in the creation and maintenance of report development standards and best practices.
•         Supports and maintains existing department tools and macros, identifies innovative opportunities with changing technology and supports the transition to new system environments.
•         Troubleshoots reported issues, conducts analysis to identify root cause, recommends fixes and implements changes or works with IT and the development team to resolve issues.
•         Educates peers on department reporting tools and available resources.
•         May conduct demo, training, including how to use reporting tools and develop programming.
•         Analyzes current business processes and implements improvements
