Business Analysis Team Lead - Audit Technology (VP level) - Jersey City
Comp - Jersey City but can do NYC if really needed - 125 base max plus bonus
The Audit Technology group is part of the GTS: Corporate department and is focused on delivering portal-based, integrated solutions to help the Audit business achieve their mission – “to identify, assess and mitigate risk by recommending necessary improvements in the system of internal control and by working with management to effect such changes.” The Project Lead filling this role will be in the unique position of being exposed to all aspects of the firm from trade processing to financial reporting and compliance. They will be expected to help drive a strategy of continued improvement and innovative thinking to help Audit identify and mitigate risk across the Firm.
Responsibilities:
The person filling this role will head up the business analysis function for the Audit Technology team. This includes definition of requirements, scope and structure of application releases, functional analysis, as well as management of the QA function for the team. Additionally, this person will be responsible for managing and conducting user acceptance testing across Audit and contributing to the development and maintenance of the overall technology roadmap for Audit. The primary contact within the Audit organization is the Audit MIS team, but interaction with the 5 senior Audit directors and their staff will also be required.
Additional responsibilities:
- Manage scope and requirements for application releases
- Working with the Project Manager, develop and maintain the technology roadmap
- Provide structure and best practice methods for all phases of testing (unit, stress, QA, UAT)
- Manage UAT plans and results, working with the Audit MIS team to conduct formal sessions
- Manage a small team (1-2 people) of business analysts and QA resources and be able to evolve the team structure as required
- Work with development staff in the US and India to resolve functional requirement and testing issues in a timely manner
- Propose and design new solutions to improve efficiency and process within Audit (e.g., ways to perform automated testing of controls to free up Auditor’s time and give control to the business units for tracking remediation of issues)
- Identify opportunities to improve the technology, focusing on supporting repeatable business processes and increasing Auditor's efficiency
Requirements:
- Track record of working with a user base with varied requirements and expectations
- Ability to assess and set release priorities
- Experience managing a testing effort, using best practices
- Working knowledge of in-house workflow products such as Staffware and BusinessWorks
- Good working knowledge of all phases of the development lifecycle
- 5-7 years of experience
