Manager - Reservation and Departure Systems

 

Summary

Manage the configuration, deployment and operation of the Sabre reservation, guest service and departure host systems. Provide Client's with deep and broad knowledge of host capabilities and best practice.  Manage ongoing operations of host environment and lead or participate in projects to extend its capabilities or improve its performance. Serve as Client's primary operations interface with Sabre and Client's Sabre system security officer.

 

Major Activities

  1. Manage the ongoing operations of the Sabre reservation host by continually monitoring and documenting capability requirements and configuring Sabre to fulfill business needs against best practice
  2. Improve the ongoing business and system performance of the Sabre host by conducting scheduled periodic reviews with service operations, guest service , sales operations, marketing, IT, revenue management and revenue accounting to identify, prioritize and complete actions to sustain or improve performance
  3. Direct and implement the configuration of the Sabre host for reservation and departure against goals for efficient and effective performance
  4. Continually build personal and organization knowledge of host capabilities and best practice by monitoring Sabre upgrades, participating in training, user conferences, and industry dialogue and serve as system sponsor to other parts of the Client's organization
  5. Lead or participate in all key projects relating to Sabre host configuration and deployment
  6. Lead the host deployment efforts for new departure sites for Client's.
  7. Minimize the security risk to the organization by serving as the Sabre system security officer and assigning the appropriate and secure access to information
  8. Research and resolve specific problems with regard to the host system.
  9. Escalate and direct the actions of Sabre to improve ongoing performance

Multiple and ongoing (such as waitlist, standard and non-standard booking processes, employee and special travel, interline and code share, training support, and other)

 

Skills

Significant Sabre and reservation and departure host experience, application support experience, business process, best practice, leadership and facilitation skills, ability to lead projects and work as project team member

 

Other

Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding start up environment; interpersonal capabilities to operate with sales, marketing, service operations and IT constituencies; self-directed and high-performing; reports to SVP & CIO.
