Job Description:

Manager/ Director - Web Development IN PURCHASE, NY $130K PLUS BONUS AND BENEFITS

 

Summary

Manage all Client's web projects with marketing, external partners (web design and development), marketing, sales, and guest operations. Monitor and continually improve web operations (web metrics reporting, search, and performance.  Establish and direct the web build, test and release schedule.  Monitor web expenditure, budget and return performance.  Establish and assure adherence to a web development methodology and architecture standards.

 

Major Activities

  1. Serve as the web program and project manager for all major projects affecting Client's web site and capability closely addressing scope, schedule, budget, operations and value components.
  2. Manage the ongoing operations of the website by continually monitoring and documenting capability requirements and ongoing web performance
  3. Improve the ongoing business and system performance of the website by conducting scheduled project and operations performance status reviews with sales, marketing, IT, revenue management and revenue accounting to identify, prioritize and complete actions to sustain or improve performance
  4. Direct and implement improvements against goals for efficient and effective performance
  5. Build and assure adherence to a web development methodology including business goals, information architecture, business and technical requirements, technical design, test, deployment and monitoring.
  6. Provide deep and broad web knowledge within the organization by monitoring upgrades, participating in training, user conferences, and industry dialogue
  7. Lead the web development projects for new departure sites for Client's.
  8. Minimize the data privacy and security risks by participating in the development of data privacy and security standards and their implementation.
  9. Research and resolve specific problems with regard to the web site.
  10. Escalate and direct the recovery actions for the site.

 

 

Projects

Multiple (such as loyalty, web metrics, multiple simultaneous marketing campaigns, content development, Sabre and host capabilities)

 

Skills

Full web life cycle development experience, usability and information architecture, web project management, requirements design and development partner coordination expertise; experience in a high performance web site environment preferably in travel related field; best practice, leadership and facilitation skills; web technical and architecture skills preferably at the technical architect level on the Java platform

 

Other

Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding start up environment; interpersonal capabilities to operate with sales, marketing, consultant and IT constituencies; self-directed and high-performing; reports to Director Data and Web.
