Business Analyst--Developer $90K NYC CODE CBAJA1

Assist with database application coding and help build in-house tools and applications to support complex hedge fund operations.  The candidate will work in a small team of developer/analysts in the Reporting group, investigating diverse issues across the company and developing scripts and/or databases to resolve them.

 

Candidate must be a fast learner with an excellent ability to digest new material, able to work independently with excellent written and oral skills, and have the capability to work with users, identify issues and implement (and document) solutions.

 

Requirements:

• 3+ years proven experience modeling, design & coding applications in Access/Excel/VBA
• Extensive knowledge & experience with data modeling, SQL, database & GUI design
• Excellent project planning, communication and presentation skills
• Expert skills in other scripting tools (eg. Perl, Tcl) a plus
• Degree (or equivalent strength & experience) in an analytical/numerate field such as Economics,   

finance, Math, Engineering, Computer Sciences

§         Understanding of the full trade lifecycle a plus
