QA Analyst - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $80K - $90K / Year

Responsibilities of the Initial Assignment (What will the person be doing?)
Basic QA testing of products including on-going bug fix verifications and implementation of formal test plans.
Write and implement formal QA test plans using technical requirements and design specifications as input.
Assist developers in quickly determining the cause of problems reported in production systems.
Be involved in the release of products into the production environment.

Essential Technical Knowledge / Skills
What level of expertise is needed? 1 = Familiar With 3 = Working Knowledge of 5 = Expert
UNIX –3
Windows – 3
Relational Database/SQL - 3 (Sybase preferred)
Scripting -3 (familiarity with Perl scripts to assess problems in debugging)


Other Desired Skills / Experience
General knowledge of software development life cycle.-4
General knowledge of QA systems and methodologies - 4
Use of debugging tools -3
Ability to write and implement test plans - 3
