Title: Help Desk / Desktop Support Specialist

Job Description:

The individual will help to support and administer a Windows XP
Professional environment over the phone, through email and by making
in-person visits to users' desks when necessary. They will work closely
with an established corporate technical team to implement and administer

workstation and server-based technologies with the goal of maximizing
user productivity, minimizing costs and reducing end-user down time.
They will be part of the support team on the IT Client Services desk.

Specific technical skills required:

* Expertise with Windows XP Professional along with basic and
advanced Microsoft Office tasks.
* Strong technical experience with PC desktops and laptops,
printers, copiers, and Blackberry devices.
* Experience with Adobe Acrobat Reader/Standard/Professional,
Symantec Antivirus (both managed and unmanaged Enterprise
settings) and Citrix remote client software.
* Experience in mid-to-large scale workstation/application
deployments. Familiarity with deployment tools such as WinInstall,
Symantec Ghost, and Acronis True Image/Snap Deploy.
* Experience with wireless technologies (802.11b/g networking,
Bluetooth synchronization and pairing, and CDMA/EV-DO and GSM/EDGE
devices).
* Knowledge of Active Directory account creation and administration.

Specific technical skills desired, but not required:

* Experience with Windows Server administration (eg - WINS, DHCP,
DNS, Group Policy, etc.).
* Knowledge of message flow and archiving processes (eg - Microsoft
Exchange 2003, MailSweeper, IM Logic, Postini, Microsoft Hosted
Services, Blackberry Enterprise Server, etc.).
* Experience with PXE/Preinstallation Environments (PE) for image
deployment and data recovery.
* Experience with packaging installation programs with specific
customizations.
* Experience with non-Windows operating systems (ie - Mac OS X,
Linux, Unix).

Specific non-technical skills required:

* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to comprehend business and technical concepts and their
interactions.
* Capacity to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
while prioritizing tasks due to changing business needs and user
requirements.
* Desire to help others with technical problems and ability to work
effectively with all levels of end-users, from interns to CEOs.
* Must be detail-orientated, self-motivated, and resourceful with
outstanding follow-through on projects.
* Ability and desire to keep up-to-date with emerging technologies.
