Job Title: Manager, Financial Reporting

Location: Position located in Malvern, Pennsylvania

 

Description:

 

• Supervises, monitors and reviews the Financial Reporting staff's daily and month-end completed assignments.
• Reviews the preparation and coordinates the process of the funds financial statements to ensure accuracy of data and adherence to all deadlines.  Ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards (i.e. US GAAP, IFRS).
• Trains staff on established regulations and updated rules.  Establishes department and individual goals, prepares performance evaluations, directs individual and group staff meetings.  Manages the career development for all Financial Reporting Specialist staff by group and individual training.
• Prepares adhoc reports for the client upon request.  Troubleshooting Fund Accounting Issues.  Attend meetings and training to enhance knowledge to be passed down to the Financial Reporting Specialist's staff.
• Builds and maintains financial reporting relationships. 
• Supports financial reporting related duties during peak periods as defined by Managing Director.

 

Qualifications required:

• 5 years experience in managing a team of Fund Accountants, Senior Fund Accountants and Supervisors
• 7-10 years of fund accounting experience in either an Audit Firm, Hedge Fund, Hedge Fund Administrator, Mutual Fund or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge
• Previous Financial Statement Preparation experience
• Advanced knowledge in complex Derivatives
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics a must
• CPA, CA or other professional designation a plus
• Ability to travel 50% within the tri-state area
• Good communication skills
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word essential
