This engineer will design, implement, and integrate embedded middleware and application software for high definition DVD chips. These chips are targeted at the next generation of video consumer electronics Blu-ray DVD player/recorders. The software includes disk navigation, file systems, I/O management, communications, and user interface. The development is done in C and C++ in an embedded Linux environment running on MIPS CPU cores. This team works closely with other SW, FW and chip teams as well as with third party developers and with customers. This is an opportunity to work as part of an exceptionally successful engineering team on some of the most interesting technology today. Experience in video processing (especially MPEG2 or 4), or DVD is a plus, as is experience in a successful fast paced-product delivery environment.

Job Requirements :
Applicants should have a BSCS or BSEE with a good academic record and a minimum of 8 years experience in C and/or C++, in real-time embedded and/or Linux environments. Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
