VP, Financial Systems - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $155K - $180K / Year

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical knowledge
• CPA preferred
• MBS

Experience
• Technical experience including knowledge or relational database design
• Knowledge of application and operating systems related financial applications
• Working knowledge of the computer/network components, systems and environments
• In-depth experience within a Financial Services/Accounting Department
• Financial Accounting Experience
• 7 – 10 years of related experience

Skills & knowledge
• The Financial Systems VP must demonstrate strong financial systems knowledge including previous experience overseeing the implementation of Accounting Systems and infrastructure
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, use initiative to accomplish results, work under pressure and complete job assignments in an accurate and timely manner
• Strong organizational, communications and customer service skills required to work with technology services staff, client-users and vendors
• Possess knowledge of corporate finance, insurance products in a sophisticated financial institution, with knowledge of Oracle financial modules and a thorough experience with the personal skills to make such a project successful (These skills include dealing with ambiguity, conflict resolution, influence skills, and the typical softer-side skills necessary with such a complex multi-functional and multi-year deliverable
• Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities and work effectively both individually and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
• Demonstrate a well-developed understanding of accounting/business processes and applies understanding of such to assigned projects and user issues
