A growing educational company, is looking for an experienced and talented Chief Technology Officer to lead and expand our technology platform to foster sales growth and create an enhanced user environment for our customers. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced technology leader with a passion for excellence in technology.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Participate in the senior management team to translate sales objectives into technology solutions.
Track and incorporate emerging technologies, tools & best practices.
Manage system architecture, development and maintenance.
Manage programming and technical support team to execute the firm's technology strategies.
Manage the operating expenses of the technology department to meet budget goals.
Evaluate and implement changes to create a better experience for our users that fuels sales growth.
Act as primary liaison for the company's technology via regular written and in-person communications with customers, the organization's executives and department heads.
Develop, manage and document appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the success of technology initiatives.
Ensure that technology projects achieve successful on time delivery and overall quality as expressed by user requirements.
Select third party licensed software, including commercial and open source software, and where appropriate negotiate license agreements.
Oversee and maintain all IT infrastructure and the company's development environment, processes & systems in support of enhanced reliability, service levels, and security.
Ensure the appropriate backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster, and maintain a tested technology business recovery plan in the event of a business disruption.

Requirements
Qualifications:
.12+ years experience developing, architecting and managing online applications
.7+ years building and managing technical teams
.Experience managing multiple projects as project manager including expertise in password authentication solutions and educational platform frameworks and design.
.Experience working in a Microsoft environment including SQL Server, Exchange, networking, storage and security, web design, load balancing, SQL syntax, ColdFusion and customer service databases
.Experience managing the network infrastructure of 24/7 high availability systems.
.Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to be part of a rapidly growing Educational company

Education: Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science or equivalent; Masters degree a plus, or equivalent experience. Prior experience in small business highly desired.
