The purpose of this role is to provide front-line support for equity derivatives desks within Capital Markets. This encompasses functions within Front Office, Risk Management, Finance Accounting, and Operations. The support role will collaborate and interact with various business groups in dealing with production related issues and provide day-to-day operations support.

Prior in-depth experience in supporting large-scale, enterprise wide, global production systems, with at least 5 years of support experience.

Sophis experience is a huge plus - familiarity with similar systems, such as Calypso, Murex, is sufficient. Experience in supporting a global enterprise Equity Trading application that encompasses Front to Back functions. Familiarity with both Windows and Unix platforms.
Knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Unix Shells).

Knowledge of XML parsing, DTD and schema.
Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
Solid knowledge of SQL and database, with experience and good understanding of database concepts (Sybase, Oracle and/or MS SQL).
Knowledge of messaging systems (TIBCO RV, MQ) - not a must but a nice to have.

Business Knowledge
Must have an understanding of trade flows, with basic knowledge of back office and finance operations a plus.
Basic understanding of equity derivatives (Options Futures, Swaps) is desirable.
