A leading global provider of software and services to the Financal Industry is seeking an Experienced Interaction Designer with 10+ years of experience.


The company is committed to creating better interaction with their products for their customers by transforming their complex data, workflow processes, and end user requirements into functional and unique software product design concepts.

For this role I am looking for a very senior Interaction Design professional experienced in the design of complex software products and business systems. This is a unique opportunity to influence the look and feel of one of the most successful products in its marketplace. This is not a management role, yet this position reports directly to the company's Chief Technology Officer.

This is a position for a serious designer. You thrive on rolling up your sleeves and taking responsibility for designing and maintaining a collaborative environment across the product development, the technology and the product management groups. You aren't afraid to work in the trenches in the morning, and meet with the CTO in the afternoon. This role is meant to ensure the effective involvement of the end user in early product definition, rapid evolution of design concepts and the formal evaluation and usability testing of proposed designs.

The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience with all aspects of transactional interfaces. The ability to meet assertive deadlines is an absolute. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and its varying methodologies is also necessary. Experience on institutional finance projects involving transactional interfaces is a huge plus.

*Qualifications:*
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Interactive or Multimedia Design, or related field
- 10+ years of interaction design experience in:
Transactional application design
Usability Expertise
Product development
User research
Information architecture
Aesthetic design
Data visualization
Business process and workflow modeling
Usability analysis
- 5+ years of experience in software product design and development
- 5+ years of experience in project management
