Business Analyst with media experience to serve as a liaison between business team and the project team by assisting the business in identifying, understanding, and documenting their business needs with due consideration to business rules and business logic. This person would help define and manage the project scope and write the Project Charter under the guidance of Project Manager. He/she would also communicate with the business on a non-technical level, and with the development team on a more technical level.

Responsibilities:
Owning the requirement gathering, documentation, reviewing and signing-off process for business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test case scenarios
Interviewing business owners, documenting business requirements and developing Business Requirement document (functional and non-functional requirements), and Project Plan
Conducting gap analysis between the current and future system
Designing business process for applications
Working with and manage outside vendor relationships. Knowledge of the RFP process, vendor evaluation and selection
Interacting continually with the IT operations group to ensure specifications are in line with most efficient available technical solutions
Supporting development and QA during development and test phases, to ensure all requirements are met. Build QA test plan and test cases. Perform QA as needed.
Understand Technical Design Specifications.
Be actively involved in the Training of the end users and facilitate transition.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree is required
3+ years experience in Business Analysis and project management methodology; prior QA experience a plus
Should be well versed in drafting communications and status updates on projects & assist the business with post go-live enhancements and improvements
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Iterative Software Development
Experience in using MS Visio and MS Project.
Strong knowledge of Project Management Methodology, project planning tools and the documentation process.
Excellent decision making and analytical abilities as this job function is frequently confronted with new and unique problems, and requires in depth understanding of the interaction between business and technology.
Proactive approach toward managing expectations and deliverables
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven skills in Process Flow Analysis and Diagrams, Business Modeling and Use Case Development
