Group develops and supports an analytics platform that prices and evaluates risks of structured fixed income securities, including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CDO and credit derivatives. The system is consumed by trading desks, risk management, and other business functions. 

Responsibilities 

*Design and build robust server side components on Linux platforms using Core Java. 
*Working with other developers to understand requirements and to co-ordinate as a team member in delivering solutions for the business users. 
*Writing scripts, automating jobs and monitoring tools using shell scripts 
*Sound knowledge in Database and Sybase exp. Is a PLUS. Hands-on experience required in writing SQLs and Stored Procedures. 
*Experience in any Reporting platform is a PLUS 


Job Profile 

*Strong Development skills demonstrated through a history of delivering significant and complex systems over at least 5 years. (Required) 
*Good verbal and written communications 
*Knowledge of Fixed Income, MBS, Passthrus, Treasuries, CMOs is a Plus 

Core Skills 
*Core Java 1.5 & higher 
*Shell scripting 
*Messaging 
*XML, XSLT 
*JMS, Tibco, Rendezvous or equivalent. 
*Relational Databases - Sybase and/or SQL Server
