We are a team of agile Java developers specializing in GUI development. 

This job is heavily oriented toward designing, building and optimizing front end applications. 

Responsibilities: 

* New feature development 
* Support new financial products and exchanges around the world 
* General platform maintenance, bug fixing 
* Java Look-n-Feel enhancements and components customization 
* API enhancements for 3rd party applications 


Key requirements: 
* Fluency in Core Java 
* Experience with Java GUI toolkits (Swing, AWT etc) 
* 4+ years of software development experience with emphasis on Java 
* BS in Computer Science, or equivalent 
* Passion for building top-quality user-interface products 
* Strong communication skills 
* Proactive, driven to excel at getting things done on time 

Preferred: 
Familiarity with market data concepts, trading technologies and technical experience of systems used within the capital & financial markets 
Main responsibility of the new candidate would be to maintain and further enhance our industry leading direct access platform - Trader Workstation. 
This is a mature Java Swing application. It was originated in 2001. We use the following technologies, tools, and libraries: Core Java, Swing, FIX, XML, RSS, JNLP, DDE, jFreeChart, HSQLDB, Rome (RSS/Atom), native code, Eclipse, CVS, Ant. This is a cross-platform application that is run on Windows, Linux, and Mac.
