The candidate will work closely with front office electronic trading in New York and will interact with Tradeplant teams in London and APAC to drive operational consistency across the globe. The candidate will interface with the Equity Integration team for new application on-boarding and with internal IT teams (development and infrastructure) to ensure application stability and reliability. Needs to be hands-on and be able to perform within a busy and pressurised environment. 

Role Specific Responsibilities: 
The candidate will be responsible for support of the Equity Market Reference Data in EMEA region and will also need to coordinate activities with the Production Support and Infrastructure teams in the other regions. Activities will include 

· First line Support of 5+ Tier 1 Applications 
· Responsible for both Linux and Unix based applications 

· On-going maintenance, release and deployments on all applications 
· Responsible for managing Business Continuity Planning (ensure all hardware in both Production and Non- production sites are inline from both a hardware and software perspective) 
· Capacity reviews (ensure applications and hardware are correctly sized for sudden increase in business volumes), 
· Building Power downs 
· Drive Process Improvements and plant automation 
· Liaise with ETD Development teams and drive application stability 
· Work closely with the Integration team on application on boarding and provide specifications for tools needed within the operational space to minimise time taken on manual tasks 
· Mentor and train offshore teams and continue handover of tasks and out of hours business support 

Experience Required: 
· Excellent knowledge of Market Data (i.e. Reuters, Bloomberg, etc) 
· Front Office Support experience; ability to display that candidate can multitask and perform in a time pressured environment 
· In depth knowledge in Equity products 
· Experienced in UNIX server side environment. Scripting is a plus 
· Basic SQL skills
