QA Analyst - (US-NY-New York)

Compensation: $110K - $120K / Year

Work closely with project mangers, business analyst, and developers to build automation code to efficiently and effectively test system enhancements to the trading applications. 

Responsibilities: 
· Perform functional decomposition of software applications to create quality assurance test plans. 
· Determine strategy for test case traceability and test coverage, including the creation of Software Test Specifications for all projects. 
· Develop functional and automated test procedures based on requirement and technical specifications. 

· Execute test cases/procedures and accurately and concisely report both progress and defect status, including gathering and reporting on project quality metrics. 
· Enter issues, maintain issues, and manage the defect tracking system. 
· Pro-actively work with Development and Business Analysis staff in problem analysis, reproduction, and resolution. 
· Perform ad-hoc testing as needed. 
· Resolve test process issues by effectively communicating and cooperating in team-oriented project situations 
· Review / analyze current set of test cases to determine the suitability for automation. 
· Develop automation tests using VB scripts 
· Maintain and modify automation code as a result of business rules / logic change 

Qualifications: 
· Strong background (3 – 5 years) as a QA Analyst specifically in the cash equities technology group working on automation 
· Good written and oral communication skills 
· FIX Protocol - FIX 4.2/4.0 
· Knowledge of US domestic trading flows, including trading flows, compliance rules and regulation (ie ACT, OATS and OTS), and booking (street side and client allocations) 
· Worked with Fidessa trading applications and/or TestPartner (VB Scripts)
